So I don’t really update this all that often, so you should like us on Facebook because that gets updated regularly. Anyway… ONTO THE UPDATES!!!
CHAOS ORDER – VULTURES 7″
This beast of a fucking EP dropped a week ago and has been devastating eardrums ever since. Recorded and mixed by Alan Burcham at Ardent Studios/Secret Team Headquarters, mastered by Brad Boatright (Integrity, Modern Life is War, Nails) at his studio in Portland, this EP kills. It even gained some attention from Boyd Rice, who promoted the record on his Facebook page. Tour dates coming soon. We have a couple of copies of the record release version left in our store. About 10. You should grab one while you still can. This band is brimming with talent and ambition. You’ll be hearing a lot more from them soon.
Dead Soldiers – All The Things You Lose 2xLP
Hailing from Memphis, TN and born from the ashes and hiatuses of a handful of more aggressive bands, Dead Soldiers have combined the talents of six individuals who make the best “whiskey soaked, outlaw country” you’ll ever hear. Their lyrics deal with death, disease, loss, and even the Devil himself. This band has brought new life to the Memphis music scene and I’m incredibly proud to be able to bring their debut album, “All The Things You Lose”, to vinyl. The lacquers were cut at 45rpm by JEff Powell and Lucas Peterson at Ardent Studios and will be pressed on 150 gram heavy weight vinyl. We have a pre-order going on right now. Clear copies (ltd. to 100 copies) are only available from the Fly The Light estore. The band will have 65 copies of the Whiskey Amber variant at the Lucero Christmas, but there are a few bundle packs available that will allow some of you out of town folks to get your hands on it before then. Other than that, you’ll have to be in town to get it. Black will be an open ended edition.

Clearing Up Some Things…
Chris Staples – Faces EP
Okay, so we were suppose to get Chris Staples’ “Faces” EP out over the summer, but some things came up that needed addressing and Chris was cool with pushing it back. We took submissions for artwork that would be screen printed onto the B-side of the 12″. Well we had a couple of really good submissions and we’re still wanting to do something awesome with them, but we also want to get the audio onto the record as best as possible, so we’ve decided to release it as a 10″ instead, plated at 45rpm. This will insure the best possible audio quality. We’re looking into ways to incorporate the fan artwork into the layout as it will have music pressed to both sides. We’re about to send it off to have the plates made. We should have more news around Christmas!
